About This Course

Our PhD in Educational Technology program is designed for emerging scholars and educators who are passionate about driving meaningful advancements in teaching, learning, and technological innovation. The Centre for Education & Technology for Education (CETE) at IIT Jodhpur invites applications to its PhD program. This program plays a central role in CETE’s mission to support pioneering research in education and learning technologies. Students gain expertise in areas such as large-scale educational data analysis, educational data analytics, instructional innovation, and the development of cutting-edge curricula and learning resources.


Graduates of the program are prepared for diverse career opportunities, including academic research and teaching positions, technology leadership roles, and strategic education-focused positions within industry, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria listed below represent the minimum requirements for consideration. Depending on the volume and quality of applications received, CETE may adopt more stringent selection standards. Relaxations in qualifying marks for SC/ST/PD applicants will be granted in accordance with Ministry of Education regulations.


(i) Applicants admitted to the PhD Program in Regular Mode must not be enrolled in any other academic program, either in India or abroad. Additionally, they must not hold full-time or part-time employment with any organization during the course of their PhD study.


(ii) Applicants must meet one of the following academic qualifications:


Option A: Master’s Degree Route

A Master’s degree in Engineering, Educational Technology, Pharmacy, Agricultural Science, Science, Humanities, Social Sciences, Management, Design, or an equivalent field with:


At least 60% marks or a minimum 6.0/10 CGPA/CPI for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC candidates


At least 55% marks for SC/ST/PD candidates
