Eligibility

To apply for the PhD program, candidates must hold a Postgraduate Degree in any discipline, preferably in Education (MA or M.Ed.) or in any of the Social Sciences such as Economics, History, Psychology, Sociology, or Political Science, from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks.


Applicants must have completed their postgraduate qualification or an equivalent degree as per UGC norms from a UGC-recognized Indian or foreign university with at least 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA. A relaxation of 5% (minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA) is available for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories, in accordance with UGC guidelines.

PhD Degree in Higher Education Management Admission Process

Admission to the program requires candidates to qualify the online entrance examination conducted by the University of Agra, followed by a personal interview.


However, applicants who possess valid NET / GATE / SET / UET scores or any other equivalent national-level test recognized by the Government of India (subject to approval by the Selection Committee) are exempted from the entrance test. They must still participate in the interview as part of the final selection process.


Additionally, candidates who hold an degree from a UGC-recognized university are also exempted from the entrance examination but are required to appear for the interview.
